 Romanian trade, tourism with Iran expanding

The Economic Advisor of Romanian Embassy in Iran called for comprehensive development of economic, trade and tourism relations with Iran as well as the coastal city of Anzali, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Aat a meeting with members of the Islamic Council and the mayor of Anzali Port on Tuesday, Bogdan Pakorari said that Anzali has certain attractions that raise the conditions for the development of inclusive relations. He called Anzali as very important port for linkage to Black Sea and the Volga River, and said, ‘Anzali has been famous for the past as the gateway of Europe, and we hope we can exchange goods due to the safety of this water route.’ The Economic Advisor of Romanian Embassy in Tehran pointed to his country’s long-standing relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and said, ‘We are trying to develop full-scale relations with Iran as in the past.”

He went on to say, ‘I have no doubt that the necessary conditions for the development of all-out relations between the two countries should be made in line with investment and cooperation between the companies. ‘We hope that Romania will be able to become the gateway of Anzali to Europe.’
