German ambassador: Berlin minds to broaden ties with Tehran

German Ambassador to Tehran Michael Klor-Berchtold on Tuesday called the US sanctions against Iran as illegal and said Berlin irrespective of such sanctions is to continue cooperation with Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

German ambassador said Berlin believes that Tehran still has remained committed to its pledges with regard to the JCPOA despite US unilateral withdrawing the internationally-recognized treaty. The US on Monday released a 75 page list of details of recently imposed sanctions on Iran which run counters to the spirit of nuclear deal signed between Iran and G5+1 mainly the European Union, England, France and Germany. The international deal urged them to lift all one-sided and multilateral sanctions imposed against Iran, but the US left the group and declared is to re-impose all sanctions.
