Students of International Relations learned more about the UN Website

The UN Information Centre (UNIC) in Tehran held a workshop on “Finding UN Information and Documentation” for some 16 graduate students of international relations from the University of Tehran, Faculty of Law and Political Science on 16 October 2018 at the UN Office in Tehran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

UNIC Reference Assistant Ms. Nazanin Ghaemmaghami elaborated on some basic facts about the UN, then she addressed the participants on how to retrieve UN documentation and information from UN and UNIC websites and on the Dag Hammarskjold Library’s (DHL) web page and gave an overview of document symbols and important information-searching tools located through DHL resources and databases, including the United Nations Bibliographic Information System (UNBISnet) and Official Document System(ODS). The video entitled “Year in Review 2017” was screened.

Persian copies of UN Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN System Chart were distributed among the participants.

Professor Mosaffa said that her students who had participated in this workshop during different academic years have learnt a lot from it and could easily find their needed information related to the UN.
