Oslo always defending Iran nuclear deal: Envoy
Norway has always defended Iran nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Norwegian ambassador to Iran said, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Norway has its independent policies regarding Iran nuclear deal from other European countries, Lars Nordrum said Wednesday in a meeting with Mashhad Mayor Qasem Taqizade Khamesi.
‘Cooperation is underway with Iran in oil and gas field and is increasing in oil platforms,’ Nordrum said.
He expressed readiness for sharing experiences with Mashhad on clean air.
Based on our findings, air travel from Oslo to Mashhad is cost-effective; he said, adding that it can help joint cooperation in tourism field.
Taqizade Khamesi, for his part, said Mashhad is the biggest tourist city in the world hosting 28 million pilgrims per year.
This is while; London only hosts 18 million passengers per year, he reiterated.
He referred to tourism as the first joint cooperation between Mashhad municipality and Norway.
Mashhad enjoys good facilities and infrastructures, he added.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian envoy wrote on his Twitter page “met with Governor General of Khorasan Razavi province, Alireza Rashidian. Excellent discussion on JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal), economic situation, opportunities and the history and culture of #Mashad and the province.
