 Iran, Slovakia officials discuss expansion of ties

Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for cultural affairs Mohsen Javadi in a meeting with Slovakian Ambassador to Iran on Monday discussed expansion of cultural interactions between the two countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In the meeting, Javadi welcomed bolstering cultural interactions between the two states and said that Iran will follow up the case.

He said that the two countries may expand their mutual cooperation in the field of book publication, tourism and exchanging university professors and students.

Javadi expressed the hope that these ties lead to increase in shuttling between elites, artists and creators of joint works and added that people welcomes expansion of connections.

The deputy minister said that Tehran Book Fair is an opportunity for countries to introduce themselves and Slovakia may participate in the exhibition and introduce its cultural works.

The ambassador said Slovakia has programs to expand cultural interactions with Iran and we intend to have programs in Iran on the occasion of 25th anniversary of cultural connections between Slovakia and Iran.
