 Cuba stresses boosting bilateral ties with Iran

Cuban Ambassador to Iran Alexis Bandrich Vega said Iran and Cuba should expand bilateral ties and do not let sanction-related policies affect their economic ties, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Cuba stresses boosting bilateral ties with Iran. “Iran is a country with good level of imports, exports and technology. Cuba’s imports however are exceeding its exports. The two countries should expand bilateral ties and do not let sanction-related policies affect their economic cooperation,” he said.

He said countries such as US have always tried to make problems for countries which are seeking independent cooperation and this is not a new issue.

“However, Trump’s policies have had reverse effect and encourages us to have stronger ties.”

“We have decided to expand our ties further and become stronger in terms of economy. We want to have cooperation.”
