Students learn navigating through the UN website

The UN Information Centre (UNIC) held “Finding UN Information and Documentation” workshop for some 12 graduate students of University of Tehran – Alborz Campus and other universities as well as 7 UNIC interns at the UN building on 5 February 2018, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The workshop was organized by the Deputy of the International Section of University of Tehran – Alborz Campus and the former Director-General of the National Commission for UNESCO in Iran Dr. Mohammad Reza Saeidabadi and was conducted by the UNIC Reference Assistant Ms. Nazanin Ghaemmaghami-Farahani. Students learned about some basic facts about the UN, and how to find and retrieve UN information on the UNIC, and the UN websites. The video entitled “Year in Review 2017” was screened.

Persian copies of UN Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN System Chart were distributed among the participants.

Professor Saeidabadi, who also teaches at Faculty of World Studies of University of Tehran found the workshop very useful and said he will also invite other student groups to participate in the next coming workshops
