Austrian envoy: Iran saves many countries from terrorists

Austrian Ambassador to Iran Stefan Scholz said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has saved many countries from terrorist and Takfiri groups, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He said in a meeting with officials in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday.

Iran plays a significant role in the regional developments, said the ambassador in a meeting with local officials of the holy city of Qom, about 200 km south of the capital Tehran.

Ambassador Scholz in Qom as part of a tour to the major Iranian cities which is taking place simultaneously with the 160th anniversary of establishment of Iran-Austria political relations.
