Oman Ambassador to Iran Saud bin Ahmad Khalid al-Barwani said on Saturday that until the end of the year 1396 (ends March 21, 2018) multiple visas will be issued for the Iranian businessmen with the aim to expand economic relations, AVA Diplomatic reports.
He made the remarks in a meeting with economic activists of Kohkiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province in Yasouj, capital of the province.
The ambassador said that for every section in the field of investment a memorandum of understanding (MoU) is written and will be signed.
Al-Barwani said the aim of his visit to Yasouj is to consider grounds for investment of Oman in the province and development of joint venture activities.
He underlined his country’s readiness for investment and expansion of cooperation in the fields of economic, trade and commerce in this province.
The ambassador announced that Oman Interior Minister is to visit Iran and Yasouj at the end of January 2018.
Al-Barwani said that considering the existing problems of banking documents for the Iranian businessmen in joint venture investment in Oman, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi is to hold consultations within the next 2 days.
He said that Sultan Qaboos has always underlined strengthening ties with Iran.
Sultanate of Oman is located in east of Saudi Arabia peninsula and its capital is Muscat.
