Russia’s Putin due to arrive in Tehran on Wednesday

The Russian ambassador to Iran, Levan Dzhagaryan announced that President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to attend the trilateral meeting of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He noted that Putin will also hold bilateral meetings with top Iranian officials.

Ilham Aliyev, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will also arrive in Tehran on the same day.

The first trilateral meeting of the three countries was held in April 2016 at the level of foreign ministers in the Azeri capital city of Baku.
