Envoy hails Tehran-Ankara relations as exceptional

Turkish ambassador in Tehran Reza Hakan Tekin on Sunday said that the relations between the two countries have entered ‘a special phase’, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Speaking during a ceremony at the Turkish embassy to mark the 94th anniversary of the proclamation of Republic of Turkey, Hakan Tekin said that Iran and Turkey enjoy heavy bonds of friendship and abundant affinities.

Referring to a recent visit to Turkey by Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri, the ambassador said that the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is also scheduled to pay a visit to Turkey in the near future.

He expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will further improve in different areas, including industry and energy.
