 Iran willing to further promote relations, economic cooperation with Norway

President Rouhani stressed further development of relations and cooperation between Iran and Norway in all fields, especially in the economic sector, adding: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to further deepen ties and economic cooperation with Norway and the private and public sectors of the two countries should have the opportunity to have joint projects with each other”, AVA Diplomatic reports.

“I hope all EU member countries, including Norway, play their constructive role in protecting the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and make the best use of cooperation opportunities,” said President Rouhani on Saturday while receiving the letter of credence of the new Ambassador of Norway to Tehran, Lars Nordrum.

During the meeting, the new Ambassador of Norway to Tehran, Lars Nordrum presented his letter of credence to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: “Norwegian companies consider the JCPOA serious and an opportunity to establish close relations with Iran”.

“Norway’s stance is the stance of the European Union, and all parties, like the Islamic Republic of Iran, must remain committed to fulfilling their commitments made in the JCPOA,” he said.
