 Russian Ambassador to Iran Met with Dr. Ebrahimi Torkaman

Levan Dzhagaryan, the Russian ambassador to Iran, and Mazyrka, the Russian cultural attaché in Tehran, attended the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization yesterday (Saturday, April 29) and met with Dr. Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, the head of the Organization, AVA Diplomatic reports.

According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, in this meeting, referring to his six-year presence in Russia as the Iranian cultural attaché, Dr. Ebrahimi Torkaman stated: “I am aware about the cultural capacities in Russia and believe that if cultural relations are developed between Iran and Russia it is in the interest of both countries”.

He continued: “The activities of the Cultural Center of Russia can be an important factor in the development of cultural activities between the two countries”.

Dr. Ebrahimi Torkaman stated: “The Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia as one of the cultural representative offices in 63 countries perform many cultural activities such as holding cultural, art and film weeks, many exhibitions, and participating in Russian festivals and ceremonies and exhibitions”.

He added: “The holding of ten rounds of interreligious dialogue with Orthodox Church is another joint activity between the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Russian institutes”.

In this meeting, introducing the Russian cultural attaché in Tehran, Levan Dzhagaryan, the Russian ambassador to Iran, called for cooperation in cultural activities based on the relations between the two countries.

Then emphasizing on the development of cultural activities between the two countries, Mazyrka, the Russian cultural attaché in Tehran, stated that the development of interaction among nations is as the result of these activities.
