In order to commemorate International Day of Nowrouz, Iranian Association of UN Studies (IAUNS)  in partnership with UNIC Tehran  organized a seminar entitled “Iran and the United Nations during last year” at the House of Humanities Intellectuals (HHI) on 16 April 2017, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Seminar began by IAUNS’s Secretary Pooriya Asgari’s remarks followed by UNIC NIO Mohammad Moghadam reading the SG’s Nowrouz Remarks.

Then representatives of Iran-Kazakhstan and Iran-Azerbaijan Friendship Associations, wearing their traditional costumes, briefed the participants on the Nowrouz traditions in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The ceremony continued by a video clip on the activities of IAUNS during the Iranian calendar year of 1395(March 2016-March 2017).

Afterwards three panelists namely Tehran University Professor and Chairwoman of IAUNS Dr. Nasrin Mossffa, Shahid Beheshti Associate Professors Dr. Mohsen Abdollahi and Dr. Mohmmad Sadeq Ziaee Bigdeli elaborated on the Iran-UN relations and activities during the calendar year of 1395.

The seminar ended with question and answer session.
