The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) presented the findings of the UNDAF Baseline Survey (2017-2021) to UN agencies

The findings of the UNDAF (2017-2021) Baseline Survey conducted by the Statistical Research and Training Center (SRTC) on behalf of the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) were presented this morning to UN agencies in a meeting held at the SCI, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Leila Joudane, UNFPA Representative and Chair of the UN Monitoring and Evaluation Group, and Dr. Nourmohammadi, Head of SRTC.

This was the very first time that the country’s statistical center was directly engaged in the UNDAF planning phase and the collection of baseline data, closely coordinated with UNFPA, in collaboration with the UN and government stakeholders.

As the Chair of the M&E Group, UNFPA played a pivotal role in the facilitation of this important exercise.  The UNFPA Representative, Dr. Leila Joudane, welcomed the report and emphasized on the need that for this partnership to continue throughout the programme cycle (2017-2021).
