UK ambassador: London offers firm support to implement JCPOA

British Ambassador to Tehran Nicholas Hopton said on Wednesday that London offers firm support to sound implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and calls for expansion of economic relations with Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Hopton made the statement on the sidelines of a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on three oil fields of Azadegan, Yadavaran and Kish affiliated to Iran’s national oil company and Royal/Dutch Shell.
My stand is the same as British government and we strongly support implementation of the JCPOA and expansion of economic cooperation with Iran, he said.
‘I have attended the ceremony to strongly underline that I do support expansion of economic cooperation with Tehran and also send a similar message on expansion of economic cooperation between Iran and the Netherlands,’ he said.
He expressed the hope that elimination of banking and financial bottlenecks would lead to growth of Iranian trade with the world and Britain in particular.
Royal/Dutch Shell Iranian chief of office and managing director of Iran’s national oil company and UK ambassador to Tehran signed an oil MoU on Wednesday.
