Newly-appointed ambassador of Pakistan to Tehran, Asif Durrani, on Saturday submitted a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Calling Iran-Pakistan relations ‘good and closer ties’, Zarif expressed hope that relations between the two friendly and neighboring countries will further expand in all dimensions.
Zarif highlighted importance of the region’s security, calling for cooperation among Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan to maintain stability and security of borders.
The Pakistani diplomat for his part voiced pleasure with his presence in Iran and said that the Pakistani government is willing to expand ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He hoped that relations between the two countries, especially in the economic field, will further develop.
