South Korea urges enhancement of cultural ties with Iran

South Korea is committed to enhance cultural relations with Iran, South Korean Ambassador to Iran Kim Sung Hu said, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of Korea cultural festival in Tehran.

South Korea cultural center in Tehran will be opened next year, the envoy added.

Cultural ties affect the economic and political relations between countries and Seoul is committed to enhance cultural relation with Tehran, he underlined.

The envoy said that South Korean President Park Geun-hye, during his recent visit to Tehran, underlined promotion of cultural ties between the two states.

He called Iranian and Korean peoples’ relations historical and friendly, noting that the future of Iran-South Korea ties is brilliant.

South Korea cultural festival which began in Tehran’s Milad Tower on Friday evening ended on Saturday night.
