 IRNA chief, UNIC head call for expansion of media cooperation

Tehran, June 1, IRNA – Managing Director of the Islamic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi and new Director of United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Tehran Maria Dotsenko reviewed ways to develop media cooperation, it was reported on Wednesday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

During the meeting held in IRNA central office in Tehran, the two officials also discussed the ways to exchange media products.

Khodadi also voiced IRNA readiness to dispatch several reporters, photographers and cameramen to UN bases in foreign countries aimed at covering media reports of this international organization.

IRNA chief also cited terrorism and refugee crisis as the two huge international problems, urging UN to help prevent of these dilemma.

Touching upon IRNA large capacities and capabilities, he voiced the Iranian news agency willingness to cooperate with UN in that end.

Dotsenko, for her part, hailed expansion of mutual cooperation with IRNA, adding IRNA, as the oldest Iran’s official news agency, always has had cordial relations with UN.

She also welcomes UN-IRNA cooperation to hold several joint photo exhibitions in Geneva, Vienna and New York. Dotsenko also toured different parts of Iran’s official news agency.
