Iraqi ambassador: Iran brought dignity to Muslim World

Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Rajeh Saber Abboud al-Mousavi said on Tuesday that brave resistance of the Iranian nation brought dignity to the Muslim World and the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned to a reliable power for oppressed nations, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with members of Mashad city council. He praised Iran for powerful presence in nuclear talks with the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany – G5+1.

The success of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a significant achievement for Muslims, making a global victory, he said.

Adopting the Economy of Resistance vis-a-vis the US-led sanctions prepared the ground for progress of the next generations, he said.

Iraq attaches importance to broadening relations and cooperation with Iran and to the same reason the global arrogance attempted to mastermind various plots against both countries, he said. Referring to deep-rooted ties, strategic status of the two countries and their wealth, the enemy is concerned about solidarity between the two nations, he said.

He said that global arrogance examined various means such as Saddam Hussein to disrupt calmness in the Middle East region, but to no avail.  After triumph of the Islamic Revolution, Iran attained remarkable victories and could successfully prove its status in the international community, said the Iraqi ambassador.
