1st Iran-Japan symposium kicks off

The first Iran-Japan symposium on ‘Women’s Role in Sustainable Development’ started work in the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) here on Monday, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The event was held in the presence of Foreign Minister Deputy for Legal and International Affairs and the former Iranian ambassador to Japan Abbas Araqchi, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Mollaverdi, Japanese ambassador to Iran Hiroyasu Kobayashi and the wife of the Iranian foreign minister Maryam Imaniyeh. The spouse of the Japanese Prime Minister Akie Abe is also present in the event. The event is hosted by Vice-Presidency for Women and Family Affairs in cooperation with IPIS and Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
