Iranian and Indian officials in a meeting on Tuesday in Tehran called for fostering cultural relations between the two nations by focusing on new plans for that area, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The meeting attended by Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and India’s Ambassador to Tehran Saurabh Kumar.
Referring to new atmosphere that has been created for Iran’s international interactions after removal of anti-Iran sanctions on January 16, Jannati hoped Tehran and New Delhi would boost bilateral ties in the areas of culture, science, economy and politics.
He further called for formation of a global coalition to fight against terrorists and extremists who by their brutal actions kill the innocent people and damage historical sites in the countries.
For his part, the Indian ambassador called for expansion of bilateral ties.
