 Algerian ambassador: Tehran, Algiers have common stands on regional developments

Algerian Ambassador to Tehran Abdel-Moun’aam Ahraiz met on Wednesday with Tehran Governor General Hossein Hashemi on issues of mutual interests along with regional developments, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In the meeting, the Algerian ambassador said Tehran and Algiers have common stands in dealing with the current developments in the Middle East region.

Criticizing the current volume of trade exchanges between the two countries, the Algerian ambassador expressed the hope that the two sides’ relations to improve in the future.

In the meeting between Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri and Algerian officials last December, the two sides reviewed ‘Road Plan’ for the upcoming years, he said.

Exchange of visits between the two sides’ officials lead to expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Algeria is to hold cultural week in Tehran this year, he said.

It is supposed that the cities of Tehran and Algiers to be declared sisters after nationwide parliamentary election in Iran, said Algerian ambassador.

He expressed the hope for expansion of all-out relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Expansion of tourism industry will lead to expansion of cultural relations between the two countries, he said.
