 UN4U briefing session for Mofid High School students

Some 30 students and two teachers from Mofid High School from Tehran learned more about history of the UN, and its main organs as well as Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on 4 December 2014, AVA Diplomatic reports.

 “I enjoy to talk to young people and answer their questions about UN history and explain how it functions. We organize these sessions regularly and I am pleased to see that more people are coming to our briefings”, said Mohammad Moghadam, National Information Officer from the UN Information Center in Tehran.

He also discussed with them UN activities in Iran and explained about services which UNIC provides.

“I am proud to learn that Iran was among founding members of the United Nations and next year we will celebrate 70th anniversary of the UN. I will tell my friends about UN,” said one of the participants of the briefing.

Copies of the Persian version of “Image and Reality”, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and MDGs flyer were given to the students.
