Tehrani Teachers Happy on UN Briefing

Some 40 teachers from primary schools from district 9 of Tehran learned more about UN history, values and UN work in Iran during a briefing session held for them by UN Information Centre (UNIC) on 17 December 2014, AVA Diplomatic reports.

These discussions are organized regularly by the UNIC for all interested groups and individuals and are conducted in the framework of the campaign “UN for You”.

 “We spoke about UN history and about what UN does in our country together with its national partners. I am proud to know that Iran is one of the founding Member States of the UN and next year we will mark 70th anniversary of UN and of Iranian membership to the UN”. “This information is very useful for us, we will share it with my pupils,” said one of the teachers.
