 Russian envoy: Tehran is one of Moscow’s major trade partners

Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan says Tehran is one of Moscow’s major trade partners, AVA Diplomatic reports.

‘Iran is a key player in the region and Russia has continuously and insistently announced that Tehran’s involvement in settlement of Syria crisis is a must,’ Dzhagaryan told Russian Inerfax. He said agreement on Iran nuclear program has opened up new horizons for Tehran-Moscow cooperation in various fields.

He added that Russian energy companies also got activated sooner than Western companies and the claims of any delay on part of Russians in that respect are not true.

He noted that recent visit of Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak Minister to Tehran and the talks that members of Russian delegation held with their Iranian counterparts testify the reality.

According to the Russian envoy, Russia can be one of the major partners of Iran in mobilizing power lines and network with an aim of coordinating activities with the power networks of the neighbors, electrifying railways, designing and modernizing hydraulic power plants and building thermal power plants in Iran.

On Moscow-Tehran achievements on Syria, he said Tehran-Moscow cooperation on Syria will undoubtedly continue.
