Zarif: No limit in expansion of relations with friendly countries

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday told new Indian ambassador to Iran Saurabh Kumar that Tehran observes no limits in expansion of comprehensive relations with friendly countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The new Indian Ambassador Saurabh Kumar presented a copy of his credentials to the Iranian top diplomat.
Zarif acknowledged excellent relations between Iran and India.The foreign minister called for comprehensive ties, especially in economic field and pursing the proper progress of the joint projects should be prioritized.
The New India ambassador said for his part that New Delhi attaches great importance to historical ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
‘The Indian government has asked me to convey New Delhi’s warmest greetings to Iranian officials,’ he added.
Ambassador Kumar meanwhile repeated India’s interest in participation in various projects in Iran, including the development plan of Iran southeastern Chabahar Port, petrochemical and energy projects.
He expressed hope that the alternate visits of senior officials from the two countries and signing documents will lead to expansion of Tehran-New Delhi relations.
