Foreign Minister confers with new Uzbekistan ambassador
The Republic of Uzbekistans new ambassador to Tehran also met with Mohammad Javad Zarif presenting his credentials, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Zarif pointed out the two sides commonalities in various areas and said, “cooperation between Tehran and Tashkent is essential since the region is facing the threat of spreading extremism.”
Uzbekistans Ambassador Bahador Abdullaev, for his part, conveyed warm greetings of the Uzbek foreign minister expressing his countrys readiness to expand bilateral relations.
Pointing to the advantages of the nuclear deal between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries, Abdullaev noted, “the strategy used by Irans Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the course of nuclear negotiations can be considered as a diplomatic approach and it can be taught at universities in the future.”
