Iran summoned UAE diplomat over arrest of Iranian teachers

UAE charge d’affaires was summoned to the Foreign Ministry following the arrest of a number of Iranian teachers, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The UAE charge d’affaires was summoned, as the UAE ambassador to Tehran was not in Iran at the time.

Iran expressed concern about the arrest of Iranian teachers despite years of legally teaching in the UAE and activity of the Iranian school in the country.

The Foreign Ministry called for solving the issue and immediate release of the arrested Iranian teachers.

The UAE government claimed the certificates of the Iranian teachers for activity in Abu Dhabi had been invalid.

This is while, with their activity certificates and resident permissions in Dubai, these teachers has also teaching routinely in Abu Dhabi over the past years.
