 Pakistan supports Iran’s anti-terrorism campaign: Envoy

Pakistani Ambassador to Iran Nur Mohammad Jadmani said on Monday that Islamabad supports Iran’s anti-terrorism campaign. He made the remarks in a meeting with Governor General of Khorasan Razavi Province Alireza Rashidian, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Pakistan is a victim of terrorism and it will prevent the extremist groups from spreading Takfiri thoughts, the envoy noted. He said that Islamabad advocates Iran in its anti-terrorism campaign.

Jadmani urged solidarity among Muslims and called for expansion of all out ties between Tehran and Islamabad. The Governor Generak of Khorasan Razavi Province for his part said that Iran sees Pakistan as a close friend.

Promotion of all out ties with the neighboring countries is part of Iran’s foreign policy, the official underlined. Rashidian said that Khorasan Razavi Province has good capacities in all fields including tourism, mining, industry and agriculture and this province is ready to export technical and engineering services to Pakistan.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he urged increase of cooperation between Islamabad and Tehran to promote border security.
