Tehran book fair best chance for Mexico’s cultural presence in Iran

Mexican Ambassador to Tehran Ulises Canchola Gutierrez said on Saturday that Tehran International Book Fair is the best opportunity for his country to officially play an active role in promotion of cultural issues, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Presence of one of the most famous Mexican poets in Tehran is regarded as a great achievement for Mexico in Iran, he said.

The Mexican ambassador made the remarks in a special ceremony themed ‘Mexico and the Global Publication’ which was held at Mexican pavilion at Tehran international book fair. In fact the event is the best opportunity for Mexico to publicize its cultural programs in Iran, he said. Eight private and state-run Mexican institutes have taken parts in this year’s international book fair. Guadalajara International Book Fair is to be held in Mexico from November 28 till December 5, he said.
