I hope water festivals will be held worldwide

Mexican Ambassador to Iran Ulises Canchola Gutierrez expressed delight over Isfahan’s sponsoring of a water festival hoping that the countries around the globe will follow suit keeping in mind the global water scarcity dilemma, AVA Diplomatic reports.

‘Sponsoring of the water festival is both an interesting and an important move,’ said Amabssador Canchola addressing the closing ceremony of the 2nd National Festival on Films, Photographs and Manifestations of Water held in Isfahan’s Kowsar Hotel.

He said that Iran and Mexico have no cultural problems, but do share many common problems, such as water scarcity and festivals like this one can contribute to culture building on economizing in water usage as a national and international responsibility.

He highlighted the right choice of films and photographs as the main themes of the national festival, arguing that those arts can play effective roles in promoting the right culture of water usage.

The 2nd National Festival on Films, Photographs and Manifestations of Water ended its activities in Isfahan in the presence of provincial, national, and international authorities, the participating photographers and cinematographers and a huge number of other enthusiasts.
