 Iran president meets North Korean envoy

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad meeting North Korean Ambassador to Tehran Jo In Chols, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Iranian president has received two new ambassador to Tehran, discussing with him mutual relations as well as the latest international development.In this meeting with new North Korean Ambassador to Iran Jo In Chol, the president said domineering powers seek their interests in creating tension among nations, the President’s website reported on Tuesday.

President Ahmadinejad underscored the future world will owe its peace and security to the resistance of nations which are standing up to arrogant powers today.

The president also touched upon the recent developments in relations between the two Koreas, and urged Korean authorities to remain vigilant against enemy plots.

President Ahmadinejad also urged US statesmen to give up their provocative moves and pull their troops out of the Korean Peninsula, thus allowing Pyongyang and Seoul to settle their issues themselves.

The president also expressed satisfaction over flourishing Tehran-Pyongyang relations, and said the sky is the limit when it comes to promotion of reciprocal ties.

In the meetings Korean diplomat submitted his credential to President Ahmadinejad.
