Iran Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistani Ambassador to Tehran Noor Mohammad Jadmani Saturday evening, AVA Diplomatic reports.Foreign Ministry Director General for West Asia Rasoul Eslami urged Islamabad to seriously follow up the case and take necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such incidents.
Eslami said Tehran does not accept terrorists use Pakistani soil to attack Iranian border guards.
In the meantime, the Pakistani ambassador expressed regret over killing of the Iranian guards and pledged to convey Tehran’s protest to Islamabad.
On Oct 8, a team of Iranian police forces on a mission following a local phone call seeking help were ambushed by the terrorists killing three officers in an orchestrated arrangement on the road in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
The police managed to arrest a number of the terrorists in a surprise attack with the support of local people, but the gunmen using Pakistani soil launched a rocket attack on a police station, which killed a police officer and wounded another.
