Iran-Austria annual trade volume over 220mln Euros

Trade value of Iran-Austria hit 225 million Euros in 2013, which is expected to increase 8 to ten percents by the end of 2014, Austrian Embassy’s Cultural Attaché George Wean Gartner said here on Monday, AVA Diplomatic reports.“About 50% of Austria’s exports to Iran are comprised of medicine,” he said in a meeting with the press on the sidelines of the Austrian ambassador’s meeting with Khorramabad mayor.

Referring to the diversity of the goods included in the two countries’ trade, Gartner said that Vienna’s prediction on its annual trade volume with Tehran for the year 2013 was 217 million Euros.

On objectives for the bilateral trade in 2014, too, he said that during the first six months of 2014 that volume increased 15% compared with the same period the previous year, and it is expected to increase between 8 to 10 percents by the yearend.
