Austrian ambassador: Iran-Austria friendship is very profound

Austrian Ambassador to Tehran, Friedrich Stift said on Monday that friendship between Iran and Austria is very profound, AVA Diplomatic reports.He made the remarks in a meeting with Lorestan Governor-General Houshang Bazvand.
The Austrian companies have a very good experience of working in Iran over the past 50 years and they are willing to back to the Iranian market, he said.
Iran has always been regarded as the most important market for Austria and there is no doubt that the country will back to the same status, said Austrian ambassador.
Some 1500 Iranian university students are now studying in Austria and it is expected new cultural cooperation deal due to be signed between the two countries would ease exchange of students as well as implementing joint projects, he said.
In 2016, one of the biggest Austrian orchestra is scheduled to perform program in Iran, he said adding that Austria is to welcome Iranian and Lorestani artists to perform concerts in Austria.
Existence of some 2500 historical monuments in Lorestan province is regarded as a suitable opportunity for exchange of tourists between the two countries.
The Lorestan governor-general said for his part the province is of high potentials in terms of culture and art and would like to broaden such cooperation.
Lorestan province is to host the first ever international conference on Geo-tourism next year, he said.
The governor-general said that the ground for cooperation in agriculture, industry and tourism as well as investment in the province is well-prepared.
