Iran objects Dubai airport’s misconduct
Iran’s Foreign Ministry’s Director General of Consulate Affairs has met with the UAE ambassador to Iran to discuss current affairs, AVA Diplomatic reports.The officials reviewed consulate relations between Iran and the UAE and discussed the unpleasant behavior of Dubai airport’s staff toward Iranian nationals traveling to and from the Persian Gulf Sheikhdom.
The director general pointed to the fact that the new technologies and equipment installed at the airports should be used for the ease and comfort of the passengers.
“The conduct of staff members at Dubai airport are in contrast with the two countries’ close relations and it has hurt the feelings of Iranian passengers there,” he said.
The UAE ambassador to Iran H.E. Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marri, said that serving passengers and respecting them is a policy pursued by his government.
“I will convey your views to the UAE government and I will ask Abu Dhabi to take necessary measures to ensure that Iranian passengers will be treated appropriately,” Al-Marri concluded.
