Indonesian Cultural Exhibition Kicks off in Tehran

Indonesian cultural exhibition has kicked off in Iran during a ceremony held in the capital city of Tehran to introduce this Asian country’s heritage, AVA Diplomatic reports.Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran Dian Wirengjurit, Indonesia’s Ministry of Culture and Education Mohammad Nuh and a number of Iranian officials attended the ceremony that was held in Tehran’s Milad Tower on Sunday, September 22.
Dubbed 1000 Years of Indonesia-Iran Cultural Relations, the festival includes various programs such as exhibitions of traditional costumes and art pieces, film screenings, performing traditional dance and songs.
Indonesian film screenings are to be accompanied with film review sessions in which a panel of Indonesian filmmakers will be attending.
The festival is also to showcase a collection of the images of the country’s historical monuments and remarkable spots.
“Holding cultural festivals in both countries can help their people become familiar with other country’s art and culture and also promote the art and cultural relations, “the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati said during a meeting with Indonesian delegation held on September 21.
