Iran’s IRCS to ink deal with North Korea

Earlier this month, in a meeting with the secretary general of the IRCS, Pyongyang’s ambassador Mr.Jo in Chol to Iran discussed some of the problems the North Korean Red Crescent Society has been facing in recent days, AVA Diplomatic reports.A delegation from the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is headed to Pyongyang to ink a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North Korean authorities.
The delegation, which is headed by the secretary general of the IRCS Zaher Rostami, will sign mutual agreements that will pave the way for the expansion of cooperation in the field of medicine, health treatment, training, and crisis management.
The delegation will leave the Iranian capital on July 10 and will meet with officials from the North Korean Red Crescent Society for three days, according to statement released by IRCS on Sunday.
The Iranian delegation plans on visiting parts of the country that have been severely damaged by the recent drought and are suffering from a shortage of produce.
The Iranian delegation is travelling to North Korea in hopes of paving the way for closer cooperation between the two Red Crescent Societies.
