Iran Protests to Australia over Ignoring Occupation of Holy Qods

Australian Ambassador to Tehran Paul Foley was summoned to Foreign Ministry to protest ignoring occupation of Holy Qods by Australia’s chief justice, AVA Diplomatic reports.Director General of the Middle East and North African Department of Foreign Ministry Reza Ameri conveyed the Iranian protest to Paul Foley.

Iranian diplomat referred to the background of Palestine occupation by the Zionist regime and emphasized that the Holy Qods is the first Qibla of the Muslims, with high esteem to the Muslim World.

Foley, for his part, said would convey the Iranian protest to his country’s officials and explained that the chief justices statement in the specialized commissions were ceremonial and separate from the policy of the Australian government.

He said the policy of the country’s government on Palestine and Israel has not changed and his country’s stance falls within the framework of the UN resolutions.

 The Australian envoy added that the Austrian governments stand has also been mentioned in the letter of Australian foreign minister to the Secretary General of the Islamic Cooperation Organization.
