Iranian artists holds fundraising exhibit for WFP
Some 32 Iranian artists have dedicated some of their works to the United Nations World Food Program to contribute to fundraising program for hungers, AVA Diplomatic Reports.The artworks were displayed in an exhibition during a ceremony held at the Diplomatic Gallery of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) in the Iranian capital, Tehran on December 26, 2012.
A number of artists and cineastes along with several officials attended the ceremony that was organized by the World Food Program office in Iran.
“After talking with a UN office in Rome, Iran’s WFP office programmed to offer the artworks during a benefit exhibition,” said director of the WFP Country Office in Iran Negar Gerami at the ceremony.
Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed-Aria, filmmaker Khosro Sinaie, vocalist Shahram Nazeri and the actor Hamid Farrokhnejad attended the charity event.
Gholam Hossein Amirkhani, Reza Bangiz, Sadeq Tabrizi, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Jalil Rasouli, Maryam Zandi, Gisela Varga Sinaie, Fakhreddin Fakhreddini, Yadollah Kaboli, Nicole Faridani and Parviz Kalantari were also among the other participated artists in the exhibition.
