Embassy meets VP for Women and Family Affairs

Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi received ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud and second secretary Trygve Vold last Sunday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Vice President explained the new government’s policies and ambitions and the two parties discussed challenges and possible areas of cooperation in the field of Women’s rights in particular.

Ambassador Kjemprud said after the meeting that he “is impressed by the Vice President’s track record and confident that she will be pursuing women’s right issues for further enhancement of women’s role in the Iranian society”. “We proud ourselves that women’s rights are well developed in Norway and would be happy to share our experiences, while discussing best practices, application in different societies and how to overcome challenges”, the ambassador concluded.
