Danish Ambassador Attends Hafez Puppet Opera

Danish ambassador to Tehran and his family attended “Hafez Puppet Opera” on July 8 , AVA Diplomatic reports.Behrouz Gharibpour, the designer and director of the opera, briefed Anders Christian Hougaard on the performance and Ferdowsi Hall before the start of the show, Iran Theater website quoted Roudaki Foundation’s Public Relations and International Affairs Office as reporting. Christian Hougaard watched the performance for the first time.

After the performance, the ambassador and his wife visited behind the scene and the facilities while amazed on how puppeteer did the performance so perfectly.

The ambassador’s wife, a painter, was invited to be an honorary member of “Aran” Theater Group because she operated the puppets behind the scene very well.

Christian Hougaard said he had seen a puppet show just for children.

He hoped the opera to be performed in Denmark too.

“Hafez” puppet opera is being on stage since last week to be performed until late July. It has performances at Ferdowsi auditorium at 20:30 every day except for Saturdays.
