 Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) hosts South African embassy delegation

In an attempt to expand its ties with world exchanges, IME hosted the second secretary of the South African embassy in Tehran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

An economic delegation headed by the Director of the Commercial and Trade Department of South African Embassy in Tehran Inayat Hassan visited Iran Mercantile Exchange to get familiar with transactions, the export hall, the admission process, settlement, commodity delivery, and risk management in the IME, Ava Diplomatic reported.

During the visit, IMF officials explained the advantages of transaction in Iran Mercantile Exchange particularly in export, illuminated bilateral transactional opportunities in product development, and introduced some consumers of Iran’s exported tar. They also discussed the physical distribution of South African corn in the agricultural products hall.

At the end of the visit, the sides agreed to cooperate at higher levels to use bilateral trade opportunities.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange is among the world top ten exchanges in agricultural products.
