Scientific confab marked International Day for Disaster Reduction

UNIC National Information Officer Mohammad Moghadam read the SG’s message on the International Day for Disaster Reduction during a scientific seminar entitled “Resilience for All”, organized by the Faculty of Health of the University of Tehran on 15 October 2018, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Other speakers of the conference that was held to mark the Interntional Day for Disaster Reduction,  were: Professor of Faculty of Health of the University of Tehran, Dr. Abbas Taghizadeh; Senior Coordinator for Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM)’ Mostafa Mohaghegh; Senior member of International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology,  Dr. Mehdi Zare;  Head of Tehran Disaster Mitigation and Management Organization (TDMMO), Dr. Ahmad Sadeghi; Director General of Public and Basic Education of  Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Dr. Ahmad Soltani; Head of Humanitarian Advisory Team of UNOCHA,  Amir Hossein Barmaki and UNHABITAT Human Settlements Officer – Technical Advisor, Mehmet Emin Akdogan.

The seminar ended with a question and answer session.
