Iranian ambassador to the Netherlands Alireza Jahangiri and the Dutch envoy to Tehran Yap Werner stressed developing consular relations, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The 4th joint consular meeting between Iran and the Netherlands was held on Saturday in Hague.
During the meeting both sides underlined broadening popular relations.
Boosting cooperation in consular, migration, judiciary cooperation, facilitating visa issuance for businessmen, investors and elites, fighting narcotics and releasing information on the foreign nationals in both countries were also among other topics discussed by both sides.
Meanwhile, the managing director of Iran Foreign Ministry consular office Ali Chegeni referred to large number of Iranian students studying in the Netherlands universities, and emphasized the importance of presenting facilities for academic exchanges between two countries.
He also expressed readiness for stopping drug smuggling through Iran to Europe.
Iranian Foreign Ministry is ready for preparing the grounds for controlling and fighting narcotics smuggling and systematic crimes.
