 Foreign ministry mediates to hold Iran-Greece football match

Advisor to Iran’s Football Federation for international affairs Hamid Reza Asefi said Iran’s foreign ministry has mediated to hold football match between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Greece, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Asefi made the remarks in an interview with on Monday. The play is to be held between the two national football team on June 2. In the absence of Greek ambassador to Tehran, the foreign ministry talked with the country’s attaché and Iran’s ambassador to Greece followed up to ensure that the play will be held in Greece in due time, he said.

Iran is now preparing itself for the world cup 2018 in Russia.
