 Belgian envoy underlines acceleration in removing banking obstacles

Belgian Ambassador to Iran Francois Delhaye expressed his country’s interest to expand bilateral ties with Iran and said that acceleration in removing banking obstacles is necessary, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with head of Majlis (parliament) women fraction Parvaneh Salahshuri here on Wednesday.

Delhaye said his country intends to expand and promote relations with Iran.

He also underlined exchanging parliamentary delegations between the two countries at different levels.

Salahshuri pointed to positive background of ties between the two countries and expressed the hope for deepening mutual cooperation and ties, especially in the field of parliamentary relations.

Referring to the existing capacities in bilateral ties, especially in the fields of culture, science and academic, she said Iran and Belgium have plenty of potential capacities, which could be used as ground for development of mutual cooperation.

She added that investment in building museum and helping development of tourism are among existing grounds to develop cultural relations.

Iranian parliament, especially Iran-Belgium parliamentary friendship, group is supporting every move in direction of strengthening and consolidating mutual cooperation, Salahshuri added.

She underlined that more visits and consultations between senior officials of the two states will deepen bilateral ties.
