 Keeping JCPOA beneficial to world: Austrian envoy to Iran

Safeguarding Iran nuclear deal is in the interest of the world, said the Austrian ambassador to Iran, in Tehran on Tuesday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Since the signing of the Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in Vienna in 2015, supporting Iran and especially its right to come out of sanctions has been central to Austria’s policy, said Stefan Scholz in Austrian food festival in Tehran.

Scholz said Austria tries its best to guard the deal against all the challenges.

Referring to the 500-year old relations between the two countries, he wished that 2018 would be the golden year for Austria-Iran ties.

Sholtz also said that there is cooperation between Iran and Austria in different fields, including academic and research ones. He also said that, throughout history, some methods of making foods have reached to Austria from Iran, like milling grains.

In the framework of the Austrian-Iranian 160 years diplomatic relations, for the first time, the “Austrian Food Festival” is taking place from 23rd to 27th January 2018 at the Parsian Azadi Hotel, Tehran, with the support of four Austrian cooks from Vienna.
