 Iran, Slovenia review agro cooperation

Iran and Slovenia considered agricultural cooperation and economic relations here on Wednesday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In a meeting in the venue of Agriculture Jihad Ministry, Director General for international affairs and specialized organizations of the ministry Homan Fathi exchanged views and evaluated economic relations development and progress between the two countries with Slovenian Ambassador to Iran Kristina Radej.

At the end of the meeting, Fathi said the most important axes of talks were research projects in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, forestry and reviving forests, agricultural machineries, development of organic agriculture and herbal medicine.

He added that also issues like healthy food, agricultural crops processing industries, exchanging documents on veterinary cooperation and plant quarantine were among other topics of the talk.

According to initiative of Slovenia to propose May 20 as ‘ World Day of Bee’ and the UN General Assembly approval, it is due that the two countries jointly cooperate in holding the day.

Slovenia Republic is located in south of Central Europe and its capital is Ljubljana.
